Visit

Welcome

For our tenth biennial photography festival, in a time of uncertainty and change, we’ve invited artists to experiment with us and the inspiring results can be viewed both online and in-venue.

In-venue

Alongside work chosen from Photo Fringe 2022 OPEN calls, photographers and collectives have created over 30 exhibitions, many responding to the festival’s Real Utopias theme. The Photo Fringe 2022 line-up includes practitioners from all career stages, from recent graduates to established talents.

Please note not all venues are open every day or throughout the whole festival. Please double-check opening hours before visiting.

You can check opening days for Photo Fringe exhibitions via these printable pdfs.

Online

The online content on this website will run until 2023. It is best viewed on a desktop.

You can view over 65 exhibitions in our Exhibitions section. These can be searched by name or title in the search function, or use the tags under each exhibition entry to filter selections and create your own trails.

Or follow our Curated Trails by invited guest curators. As the festival progresses we will be inviting artists, curators and writers to explore the festival and create their own unique tour.

Follow the festival on social media with #photofringe2022 and post your own images on the festival theme @photofringe #realutopias.
